Our Story
Canine to 5 has been serving dogs and their people in the Loves Park area since 2010. What began as a dog daycare and learning center has evolved into a training-focused business dedicated to helping owners build better relationships with their dogs through education, communication, communication, and practical reward-based training.
Today, we specialize in private lessons and group classes designed to meet each dog where they are. Whether you are raising a new puppy, working on everyday manners, improving leash skills, tackling mild reactivity, or simply looking to better understand your dog, our goal is to provide training that is effective, enjoyable, and rooted in science of how dogs learn.
At Canine to 5, we believe lasting behavior change comes from building motivation, trust, and clear communication, not intimidation or force. Every lesson is tailored to the individual dog and family, helping create skills that last long after training is over.

Our mission is to empower dogs and their owners through education, understanding, and reward-based training. We believe that learning should be enjoyable for both ends of the leash, creating confident dogs, informed owners, and relationships built on trust.
